Retro Posting- The Adjective Applies in More Ways Than One

I know that nowadays, with smart phones and iPhones, all the cool kids are blogging on the go. I am not, however, a member of that cool kids club. My phone is a two year old LG with no data plan. Bobby, despite having recently taken a job programming smart phones, is even less of a cool kid- he has a Motorola Razr that he got used from a friend. Can I tell you that it's pink, and that fact that he proudly owns a used, old, pink phone is one of the things that affirms our mutual love of simple, frugal things? Good, because I just did.

Since we've established I'm not a mobile blogger, I'm going to go ahead and prepare you for some catch-up posts that go all the way back to April 18th, the day Arielle flew in from Boston to Denver. Between her visit, the two weeks here in Texas filled with multiple road trips and cities, and all the goings on I'm sure there will be several retro posts. Done the old fashioned way, as I sit at my keyboard and bang them out. Right now, that banging out is taking place at my friend's house, because as soon as I sailed back into Dallas from my hometown of Brownwood, my car died. I've been staying with friends and bumming rides this last week, which has actually been better than I ever could have hoped. Tonight Bobby flies in to DFW, and tomorrow we have an all day long birthday party with tons of family. Sunday is the big wedding for Karin and Hermes, and then Monday we get our newly repaired car and hit the road to head back up to Colorado, stopping in Kansas to visit my amazing Great Granny.

I'm looking forward to this weekend! I hope ya'll (I'm in Texas, it's all comin' back to me) can say the same!

  2. Aww, thank you so much HS! And I agree, I think an iPhone is a very handy device. I hear about some of the apps and I have to admit they seem really useful. Also, sometimes my friends' iPhones take better pictures than my real digital camera- that's just not fair! :)
